The fundamental open architecture of Magal S3's C&C solution - FORTIS - is scalable and flexiblein all aspects. FORTIS supports multiple inputs, multiple users, mobile and fixed sensors and users - all of which are incorporated into a single robust hierarchical data structure.
FORTIS integrates all outdoor and indoor sensors into a single system and correlates a synchronized set of displays based on GIS infrastructure, a 2D and 3D real-time graphic layer, full video integration and event-driven tools for decision making. Mobile displays have bi-directional communication and enable a complete synchronous operation for first responders in the field.
Magal S3's C&C solutions are composed of several layers:
- Interface - a bi-directional communication layer into any known sensor, dry contact, access control system, cameras, panic buttons, LPR, PDA, GPS devices and more. System flexibility enables easy tailoring of any new interface.
- Logic and Notification Layer - is the next level that connects multiple sensors into a unified system. This layer integrates multiple intrusion detection elements, access control stations, different asset and video sensors to generate a common, harmonized and cohesive data base and communications system.
- Display Layer - built around the user, using a few screens to create the situation awareness for the operator. Typically, a basic graphic display presents multiple sensors for bi-directional command and control using a geographical layer with a 2D and 3D synthetic presentation of the area of interest. A second screen may focus on a real time matrix of video sensors.
- Decision Support Layer - a third screen is typically used for reporting and displaying events and scripts. Event data is fully connected and correlated by time and space with the other displays.
- Storage and Retrieval Layer - is an essential feature of FORTIS and enables a detailed reconstruction of a full event captured by all sensors and elements of the system.
